In the middle of last year, I went for my regular check-up at the polyclinic and the doctor told me there was something wrong with my eyes. He gave me a referral to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) for a more detailed check, which I did.

I was then told that I had AMD… which is “AGE-RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION�… a medical condition that usually affects older adults and results in a loss of vision in the center of the visual field and eventual blindness. No treatment or medicine was given to me except eye-drops to alleviate the pain in my eyes, and a piece of paper with squared lines. I was to regularly look at the lines and if I saw any crookedness, I was to go to the hospital immediately.
Family members and friends on hearing this, urged me to go to an eye specialist for a second opinion. I was reluctant, saying that Jesus will heal me.

I was not testing our God and deep in my heart I believe it because of two incidences, one which in years HE took away my fibroid growth which looked like a bunch of grapes, and if not given treatment, I would just bleed to death. The doctor was awe-struck when he checked me after a few months and found the fibroid missing. I told him this - My Jesus removed it! The other incident was Jesus simply healed me of my spondilysis just two weeks before I was to go for spinal operation during the SARS period.

After much persuasion, I got a referral to go to a specialist at the Singapore National Eye Centre at Singapore General Hospital for a second opinion. My Daughter In Law said she would pay for the treatment, the same in which her father recently went and where he received three injections, each costing about $2000. He had to go for regular injections too.

On Monday I went and received a thorough eye check-up. The specialist then told me, “Your eyes are still very good! There is nothing wrong with them!�

I jumped up and straightaway said, “My Jesus healed me!�
I thank and praise God for His goodness to me!
