In Matthew 4:4 the scripture says “man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God�.

And where do we have the word that comes from the mouth of God? We have it here in the scriptures- in the bible.

But it is war brothers and sisters. The devil has declared war on us every time we reach out for the Word for the devil knows that when we discover the Word – all our symptoms of illness, all our fears in our hearts, all the brokenness in the relationship of our family and all our financial difficulty will be peel away from us. And that is why every moment we try to dwell into His living Word we are tempted by the television, by the phone calls and by the computer.

His Word is life to those who find them, and health to the man’s whole body (Proverbs 4:22). Brothers and sisters, how many of us know that healthy mind is the health to a man’s body. How many of us know that a having a good job is health to our body. How many of us know that to be financially sound is health to our body and so does being in a wonderful relationship with our family brings health to our body. And so where do we find all things pertaining to health to our body? By the Word as claimed in Proverbs.

So make a point now to be involved in God’s Word everyday. Memorize scriptures pertaining to the areas that you need to find the truth. It isn’t enough to have the scriptures in your mind but have the scriptures drop into our hearts. If Jesus in the desert in the face of temptation and also in face with His greatest crisis while on the cross, quoted the scriptures – than what more we.

For our Father say “ If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you� (John 15:7).
